US Olympic Committee first client for the NEW Olympic InspirationsR
Gallery 

 

October 6, 2009, Vancouver BC   The BC Sports Hall of Fame successfully
hosted a two day event for the US Olympic Committee in the newly
renovated Olympic InspirationsR Gallery . The unique special event space
is an ideal venue to host your next event. The gallery celebrates BC's
exceptional Olympic and Paralympic accomplishments through an Olympic
Hall of Champions wall displaying Olympic medal winners from British
Columbia. One-of-a-kind Olympic artifacts are on display interspersed
with Olympic host city posters.  

 

Olympic InspirationsRGallery Facts and Stats:

 

- 100 years of BC Olympic stories chronicled from 1908-2008
- 64 BC Olympic medal winners celebrated (individuals and teams)
- 1,500 square feet: range of capacity depending on event type
- Enhanced audio visual system 
- Located in the BC Sports Hall of Fame inside 2010 Opening and Closing
Ceremonies venue

 

Olympic InspirationsR Gallery Artifact Highlights:

 

- First Olympic medal won by a BC athlete (Duncan Gillis)
- Rowing shell used by Silken Laumann 
- Variety of Olympic medals on display
- Variety of uniforms from Olympic opening and closing ceremonies

The BC Sports Hall of Fame and the Olympic InspirationsR Gallery is open
to the public during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games and is
