*Celebrating Almost a Centennial of Canadian Military Aviation*

*- Public Lecture, Thursday, September 10^th , at 7:00 p.m.*

*The Okanagan Military Museum is pleased to welcome Stéphane Guevremont 
for a presentation entitled “Men with a Purpose: Almost a Centennial of 
Canadian Military Aviation” on September 10^th . *

* *

*Stéphane Guevremont is a former aircraft mechanic with the Canadian 
aeronautical industry. He has worked and taught at universities, 
museums, and flight centres in Ontario, Québec, and Alberta. He holds a 
CEGEP Degree in Aircraft Maintenance, a BA in History from McGill 
University, and a civilian MA in War Studies from the Royal Military 
College of Canada, Kingston. *

*In addition to Stéphane’s presentation, the latest artwork from members 
of the Canadian Aviation Artists Association will be on display in the 
main lobby of the Museum from September 10 to September 12. *

Canada is celebrating the 100^th anniversary of powered flight and the 
Okanagan Military Museum is saluting this milestone in Canadian history 
with an exciting exhibit focusing on local and military aeronautic 
history. A timeline of historic facts, many with local Okanagan 
connections, is on view.

The lecture begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Okanagan Military Museum and is 
admission by donation.

The Okanagan Military Museum is located at 1424 Ellis Street (corner of 
Ellis and Doyle). Open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to
