[BCMA] Student Job Postings in Osoyoos

Osoyoos Museum - Summer Student (2) Positions:  

 

Museum Assistant:  35 hours per week, $12 per hour.  May 17 - August 20, 2010

 

Under the direction of the curator, the museum assistant will help with front desk reception, cash transactions, record keeping, research, cataloguing artifacts, processing historic photographs, preparing exhibits, and carrying out light housekeeping duties and others as required.

 

The student must be between 16 and 30 years of age, be a full-time student returning to a post-secondary institution in the fall or be a new post-secondary graduate.  S/he must have the flexibility to work weekends, be a conscientious self-starter, and possess good interpersonal and organizational skills.  Knowledge of MS Access and excellent computer skills are preferred, but not essential. 

 

 An interest in history, anthropology, First Nations studies, the arts, or another related field is preferred.  

 

For students wanting to relocate to Osoyoos, arrangements for limited accommodations during the high tourist season must be made in advance.
