Wesgroup Properties donates to the Fraser River Discovery Centre's Brewer's
Gold Exhibit

 

New Westminster, BC - Wesgroup Properties has confirmed the title of
presenting sponsor for the Fraser River Discovery Centre's upcoming exhibit
- Brewer's Gold: The History of Hops Industry in B.C., an industry that had
significant influence on agricultural growth in the Lower Fraser Basin. 

 

The Brewer's Gold exhibit, originally produced by the Chilliwack Museum and
Archives received a 2005 Award of Merit from the British Columbia Museums
Association. In presenting the award, Jim Harding, Executive Director of the
BC Museums Association stated that "Impressive is the compilation of the
material from a variety of sources and topics into a travelling show that
matches national standards of excellence, raising the bar for a BC
travelling exhibit of its size. It is professional, thorough and well
designed."

Brewer's Gold will open in September 2010 and is schedule to end in the
summer of 2011.

 

The Fraser River Discovery Centre is an interpretive centre connecting
communities in discovery and celebration of the living, working Fraser
River. It is located at 788 Quayside Drive, New Westminster. The Discovery
Centre is open seven days a week 10am to 4pm all summer long. Admission to
the galleries is by donation.
