Employment Opportunity in Wells

Island Mountain Arts is seeking a qualified individual
to fill the position of Financial Administrator

10 hours per week, $15 per hour

The Financial Administrator is responsible for the accounting,  
payroll, grant writing and all other financial aspects of the  
operations of Island Mountain Arts in addition to other tasks as  
assigned by the Artistic Director/Curator.

Financial Duties:
Accounts payable (at least bi-weekly)
Payroll (bi-weekly) – payday will be on a set day after each payday
Payroll remittances
Accounts receivable
Consignment payouts for gift shop and gallery (monthly)
GST and PST remittances (quarterly)
Bank reconciliations (monthly)
Cash-outs (daily in summer, weekly in winter)
Posting to Quicken including allocating to categories and classes (at  
least weekly)
Board meeting reports – budget versus actuals, balance sheet, cash  
flow (sent to board members on the Wednesday before each board  
meeting)gift shop inventory (by October 31 annually)
Budgets and financial projections (on going as required)
Year end reporting for various grants and agencies (as required)
Gift shop inventory for end of fiscal year (Oct.31 annually)
Financial and audit reports for AGM: (prepared between October 31 and  
December 31; must be reviewed will in advance and audit conducted by  
December 31)
Society’s Report and Charitable Return (annually by January 31st)
Financial management of ArtsWells and other events
