I am working for the Calgary Board of Education developing the furnishings plan and sourcing the materials for an historic classroom, ca. 1908-1912, that will be part of their new headquarters they are currently developing in downtown Calgary. They are building a new office tower adjacent to one of the original Calgary Public School buildings that first opened in 1908, and is currently being restored. The following is the list of items we are looking for. We may be more interested in replicating some of the items such as pens, slate boards and ink wells that students will actually be using in the classroom, but would prefer original artifacts for most of the items listed.
If you have duplicates of any of these items in your museum collections that you would be willing to sell, donate, or lend on a long-term basis, please contact me. Or if you know of other private sources for any of these items, please let me know as well.
Apologies for cross-postings.
