Subject: [BCMA] Premiere Historic Episode - Church of the Holy Cross

 

"Saving Places" is a documentary show with its premiere episode on
History Television (Shaw 44) at 7 pm this Saturday June 12th. This
episode features the Church of the Holy Cross at Skatin, BC.

In 2008 the century old church was named one of Canada's 10 most
endangered historic sites. The all-wood building, erected by native
craftsmen on a layer of river rocks, was deemed at risk of collapsing
without a new foundation. The documentary includes some of the work on
the construction of the new foundation.
