[BCMA] Penticton Art Gallery's 33rd Annual Art Auction ~ Tickets now on Sale

Tickets are now available for The Penticton Art Gallery's 33rd Annual Art Auction 

 

The Penticton Art Gallery is pleased to invite you to our 33rd Annual Auction and Gala on the evening of Saturday July 10th, 2010. This year's auction will once again take place in the grounds and gardens surrounding the Penticton Art Gallery, which is located at 199 Marina Way on the southern shores of Lake Okanagan. 

 

Tickets for this year's event are expected to sell out quickly and are priced at $55 for gallery members and $65 for non-members. You can purchase your tickets in person at the gallery or by phone at: (250) 493-2928. You can also preview all the auction items in person at the Penticton Art Gallery starting on Tuesday June 22 or by visiting the gallery's website at: www.pentictonartgallery.com

This year the Penticton Art Gallery is pleased to partner with the spectacular wineries of the Naramata Bench Winery Association (www.naramatabench.com). The cocktail party will feature the fruits of their labour along with hors d'oeuvres by Penticton's own Joy Road Catering. In addition we are also pleased to once again offer the musical stylings of the Darylectones (www.darylectones.com) who will once gain take center stage in the Ikeda Japanese Garden. Growing in popularity each year this event is fast becoming the foremost summer event on many a social calendar not only here in the Okanagan Valley but for folks from Vancouver to Calgary who make this event part of their summer getaway. 

 

Featured in the Auction are 27 works by 24 British Columbia artists who took part in the second annual Penticton 'en Plein Air Day' on May 8 at seven Naramata Bench Wineries. These artist-donated pieces capture the breathtaking settings of the wineries and vineyards. These works will be joined by a number of other important works of art from artist from across Canada and internationally. Each work along with the artist biography can be viewed in advance of the auction on our website and in an exhibition to be held at the gallery starting on June 22nd and continuing up to the auction on July 10th.

 

In addition to the many valuable works of art to be offered, this years auction will also have an amazing array of unique and outstanding packages and services including: a private house concert at a location of your choosing by Barney Bentall (www.barneybentall.com); a signed Fender Guitar by the Bare Naked Ladies; a private dinner for eight guests catered by Joy Road Catering (www.joyroadcatering.com) featuring wines from the Naramata Bench; a number of unique winery Getaway's and Golf Packages and so much more. This years Auctioneers will be Doug Levis of Levis Fine Art Auctioneers of Calgary (www.levisauctions.com) and the incomparable Terry David Mulligan (www.tastingroomradio.com).
