[BCMA] Job Posting at the West Vancouver Museum

The District of West Vancouver invites applications for the following
summer      

 position:

 

Curatorial and Collections Assistant at the West Vancouver Museum

 

This is a 13-week position responsible for processing, documenting and
researching acquisitions and preparing these acquisitions for exhibition
at the Museum.

 

The successful candidate must be a full-time university/college
returning to studies in the fall, and should be an energetic,
conscientious self-starter who is friendly, responsible and able to work
independently and collaboratively. A strong interest in arts, history,
and/or museum studies is preferable. The candidate must possess
excellent communication and organisational skills. Experience with
collections management, research and exhibit development is also
desirable. Experience working in a PC environment and a basic
understanding of Windows XP is preferable.

 

June 7 to September 3, 2010

 

35 hours/week, (Monday through Friday), $12/hour
