Curators: Ted Hiebert and Doug Jarvis

"More Often than Always/Less Often than Never", starting from Alfred 
Jarry's invention of 'pataphysics' (the science of imaginary solutions), 
artists from around the world are invited to engage with notions of 
impossibility, uncertainty and the imaginary which challenge 
standardized formulations of the allowable, acceptable, logical or 
feasible, a call for imaginary solutions to real questions, curated by 
Noxious Sector (Doug Jarvis and Ted Hiebert}.

Artists: hannah_g, Julie Gendron & Emma Hendrix, Tetsushi Higashino, 
Gordon Lebredt, Chikako Maria Mori & Boris Nieslony, François Mathieu, 
Arjuna Neuman, and Anne-Marie Proulx.

5th Annual Trading Cards Exhibition November 26, 2010 -- January 23, 2011

*Opening Reception: Thursday, November 25, at 7pm
*ATC Closing & Trading Session: Saturday,  January 22 at 2pm

 

Coordinated by Kathy Tycholis; Annual Artist Trading Card exhibition is 
a display of Artist Trading Cards submitted from across Canada and 
around the world. This will be the 5th year the Art Gallery has 
organized this amazing collection. These miniature works of art are 
about the size of a hockey card or smaller and are "made to trade". This 
international art movement is intended to be an avenue for artistic 
exchange. All entries received that follow the Entry Guidelines will be 
exhibited and then traded at  the Closing Celebration.
