Attend the first of our lecture series - Andrew Scott, a well-established author, journalist, and photographer delves into B.C.'s rich history and illustrates how our local place names hold great stories.  Some reflect the heroics of BC's 18th century explorers and fur traders. Many shed light on BC's resource industries and even more immortalize missionaries, gold seekers and war heroes.  Based on his award-winning book, the Encyclopedia of Raincoast Place Names, Scott shows how place names are continuously bestowed, honoured and sometimes steeped in controversy.
