Burnaby Village Museum has been offered a Waite and Saville Ltd. engraving press

This press has been used in Vancouver printing companies since the 1890's. It was made in Othey, England. Pat # 1655000

This is a large press 3' X 5' by 8' high.

An engraving press uses copper or steel plates and prints using an intaglio process.

The last job this press was used for was printing the diplomas for UBC.

The press is still in the shop but they will need to know if there is any interest as the shop is downsizing.

Images are available if you are interested.
