*Family Sunday Facilitator *

**

Family Sunday is a free drop in art making session for parents and 
children held the fourth Sunday of the month at the Richmond Art 
Gallery. The Family Sunday Facilitator works with volunteer high school 
and post-secondary students, leading them through the development and 
delivery of each exhibition related project and activities.

*The Facilitator will:*

**Keep informed of Gallery exhibitions.

Present exhibition content to students during after-school prep sessions.
Develop age-appropriate exhibition related projects and activities with 
students.
Oversee volunteers and participants during Family Sunday day (excluding 
December).
Liaise with the Education and Public Programs Coordinator and School 
Programs Coordinator.
Assess the program and the volunteer students.
Assist with recruitment of students or guest artists when needed.
Assist with promotion of the program, Gallery and sponsor.
Maintain budget and purchase materials.
Organize timelines and tasks.
Keep accurate records and documentation of the program, including 
volunteer records.

*Qualifications:*

**Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree

Experience working with volunteers and/or teens.
Sound knowledge of contemporary art, and be able to communicate central 
ideas to high school and post-secondary students.
Experience designing and teaching art projects for children ranging in 
ages 3-13.
Be able to work with a variety of 2D and 3D materials.
Enjoy working with teens, children, young adults and parents.
Submit to Criminal Records Check.

Facilitator works in the Richmond Art Gallery for two Tuesdays a month 
from 3:30-6:30pm, plus from 11am-5pm for one Sunday a month (excluding 
December).Additional hours will be spent off-site and at the Gallery for 
prep.

Rate:15 hours monthly @ $20 per hour
