***Job Posting:Children's Summer Art Instructor*
***Art Instructor for Summer Art Camps*needed to leadart camps for
children between 6 to 12 years old from June 13 -- August 19, 2011.
The *Summer Art Instructor* is responsible for developing, teaching and
coordinating this popular summer program. Duties will include:
* researching age-appropriate art projects
* devising weekly program descriptions and learning objectives
* writing lesson plans
* coordinating visiting artist sessions and field-trips
* supervising and scheduling student volunteers
* maintaining assigned budget
* keeping inventory of supplies
* preparing an assessment and recommendations for future programs
Applicant should have completed 1 to 2 years of study in studio arts or
art education, and have substantial experience in teaching art to
children in a class/group situation.Contract is for ten weeks, 35 hours
per week.
/This is a federally funded position and applicant must be between 18
and 30 years of age, registered as a full time student in the previous
academic year and intending to return to school the next academic
year.Appointee must submit to a criminal check./
Salary:$14.50 an hour, 35 hours per week
