The Sound of Music at the Maritime Museum of BC

A Great Noyse is back at the MMBC! Join them September 21st as they take you on a journey into the world of noted composer, Tielman Susato through his music as well as an entertaining speculative "journal" based on the events of his life.


Using authentic period instruments, A Great Noyse will weave a night of magic not to be missed! Tickets are General $20; Members, Students, Seniors $18. Tickets do not include HST. For more information or to purchase, please call 250-385-4222. Doors open at 6:30pm. Performance begins at 7:00pm.


Also, on Wednesday, September 28th the MMBC welcomes the talents of Vox Humana as they present the MS Estonia Remembered. It all began on September 28th, 1994, the MS Estonia, with 989 people on board, began her journey crossing the Baltic Sea, from Tallinn, Estonia to Stockholm, Sweden. The ship was expected at Stockholm in the morning but never appeared.

Join Vox Humana in the remembrance of the tragedy that claimed the lives of 852 passengers, and crew, through the music of Estonian composer, Jaakko Mäntyjärvi and his work Canticum Calamitatis Maritimae (Song of Maritime Calamity). Doors open at 7:00pm with performance beginning at 7:30pm in the Museum's historic 19th c. Courtroom.
