Talk to Murphy Shewchuk. It's the Nicola Valley Museum and Archives. He can tell you about a unique method of copying newspapers if you don't have microfilm. You may also want to talk to Peter Ord at the Penticton Museum, about another method, if you already have microfilm of your papers.

I think the Merritt Museum did that last year with great success, I don't know the contact there, but heard about it at the BC Museums Association Conference.
