Hello Rebecca,
At the Britannia Mine Museum in Britannia Beach BC, we purchased 3 EB 100
stationary audio guides in the spring of 2009 from Tour-Mate Systems Canada
Limited. 137 St. Regis Crescent S., Toronto Ontario M3J 1Y6.
They are weather proof and self guided. There is an SD card that you load
with your information. We used a combination of narrative and actual voices
of former Britannia residents along with background music and sound
effects. They are stationed outside at 3 locations around our Museum site.
The devices are very sturdy, powder coated, heavy metal and have stood up
well to the rigors of daily use. They cost approximately $2000 each plus
shipping of $300.00 for the three of them.
We feel the investment was worthwhile. I would be happy to answer any
further questions you might have.
Regards.

Subject: [BCMA] audio kiosks
Hello all,
We would like to have audio kiosks installed around Port Moody as part of
our centennial celebration in 2013. Does anyone have a contact for a company
who might rent kiosks such as this? Or if you have done this, could you let
me know an approximate costs? Right now we're looking for a budget figure as
a starting point.
Thanks,
Rebecca
