CALL FOR NOMINATIONS!

 

The Arts Council of the Central Okanagan is seeking nominations for the
Okanagan Arts Awards. The Okanagan Arts Awards is an annual celebration
honouring artists, art supporters and art organizers whose work has made a
major contribution to the artistic and cultural life of the Okanagan.  

Take this opportunity to nominate someone in your community that has made a
noteworthy contribution to our local arts and culture.

 

Criteria for awards/eligibility: Nominees must

 

*         Reside within the Okanagan Valley.

 

*	Have made significant achievements within their chosen artistic
field (music, performance, dance, literary arts, visual arts, design, media
arts, arts educator, supporter of the arts etc). 

 

*	Have made significant contribution to his/her arts community, and
have shown significant leadership with the arts.

 

Deadline for nominations is January 9th 2012 at 4:00pm.

 

The Arts Council of the Central Okanagan is a non-profit organization that
is the underlying support for anything and everything that is art. Art is
culture, entertainment, recreation, lifestyle and worldview. The arts
include all. The arts include you! The Arts Council of the Central Okanagan
supports, strengthens and promotes all art disciplines and traditions. The
Arts Council of the Central Okanagan acts as an advocate for you!
