[BCMA] Heritage Lighthouses

DESIGNATING HERITAGE LIGHTHOUSES

 

Under the federal Heritage Lighthouse Protection Act, Canadians can now
nominate lighthouses for designation and protection.  Nominations will be
accepted until May 29, 2012, and will be considered by the Historic Sites
and Monuments Board of Canada.  So far, 56 lighthouses have been nominated,
but only three from B.C.
