    Museum Hour Changes

Remember: the Beaty Museum is now open seven days a week, from 10:00 
a.m.---5:00 p.m.

Tours run on weekdays at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. On weekends and 
holidays, tours run at 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.

We feature a puppet show on weekend and holiday mornings at 11:00 a.m. 
Story time continues daily at 3:00 p.m., with an additional weekday 
story at 11:00 a.m.

The Niche Café is open weekdays from 9:30 a.m.---3:00 p.m. Weekends and 
holidays 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

Was part of your draw to the museum the blue whale? Learn all about 
/Raising Big Blue /Sunday, June 5 on Discovery Channel.

This month, we feature lecture number six in our Way Cool Biodiversity 
series. We're almost halfway through the year! If not, you still have 
lots of time to attend and discover your favourite organism. Voting will 
take place in December 2011 in the museum and online.

This summer, be sure to plan a few trips to the Beaty---perhaps four! 
Finish the BC Biodiversity Passport over four months to receive five 
ballots towards a prize valued over $350.

We are so excited to develop fun programs, and always welcome your 
feedback. Thank you for your support of the Beaty Biodiversity Museum.

The Blue Whale Story is set to air on Discovery Channel Sunday, June 5, 
2011.

Mark Miller Productions and the Discovery Channel present this 
documentary feature following the story of our blue whale skeleton from 
PEI to Victoria to Vancouver. See the behind-the-scenes drama involved 
in recovering, cleaning, and restoring the skeleton of the largest 
creature on earth.
