COME CELEBRATE CANADA DAY WITH US!

 

Delta, BC - Rekindle the Canadian spirit! Canada Day is an opportunity to
celebrate our Nation's history, heritage, multiculturalism and diversity. In
honour of our Nation's birthday, the Delta Museum & Archives Society will be
spilling onto the Ladner streets and hosting a fabulous party! 

 

This family-oriented, fun-filled event kicks off at 9:00am with the
traditional pancake and sausage breakfast cooked by the North Delta, Ladner
and Scottsdale Lions Clubs.  Breakfast will be available for purchase until
11:00am, with all proceeds going to support the Delta Museum & Archives
Society's educational programs.

 

Street party attendees will be entertained with toe-tapping music by the
Celtic band Doghouse while enjoying the many crafts, activities and contests
that will fill the morning.  Explore the Museum's three floors of exhibits
and join in the Great Canadian Safari - find which Canadian animals are
hiding in the Museum. Visit our Archives historical display booth out front
of the Museum to learn more of Delta's history.  There is fun for everyone!

 

Official ceremonies will begin at 11:00am with the singing of our national
anthem and messages from local dignitaries. The day will conclude around
noon with the cutting of a giant birthday cake, enough for everyone to
enjoy.

 

So dig out your red & white apparel and come join us! Festivities will be
held outside the Delta Museum located in the heart of Ladner Village (4858
Delta Street) from 9:00am to 12:00pm.  For further information, please
