Christmas at Craigdarroch
The month of December is by far the most active with daily activities
bringing locals and tourists alike through our (tiny) front door.
The Calendar is so full, you'll have to download a calendar here -
http://cts.vresp.com/c/?CraigdarrochCastle/fc2ff1894a/bb7542f092/f01aa5c402 to see everything that is going on. New this year
We are thrilled to be offering ticketed performances of "A Christmas
Carol" by Charles Dickens, adapted as a one-man play by Jason
Stevens. His performance has been described as "perfect" by the Oak
Bay News. Barry Bowman, well-known Victoria radio personality
enthuses "To have this kind of talent, someone who can do this
without lights, without props, is incredible." Tickets $20 adults or
$15 students. (Not designed for under ages 13.) Members - $2.00 off.
Victoria Conservatory of Music has paired with us to present some of
their best & brightest students...as well as lead us all in singing
carols around the piano. As a former tenant of Craigdarroch Castle,
they are the perfect musical partner.
Holiday Craft Activities for our artistically inspired visitors. Fun
for adults and children alike, come make your own souvenir! Daily at
3PM (December 17-30)
Christmas Caroling around the Dunsmuir Steinway Piano. Join members
of the Victoria Conservatory of Music for a special session of
singing Christmas Carols together. December 17th and 24th at 11:30
AM. Come sing with us!
Back by Popular Demand!
Starting on December 1st, we begin our school tours which have been
redesigned to work with the BC Social Studies curriculum, allowing
teachers to incorporate these tours into their lesson plans. (Plus,
we've added fun new crafts for the kids!)
December 7 is our famous Member's Night party. With live music by
prodigies Qristina and Quinn and fabulous hors d'oeuvres by
Victoria's best chef and culinary educator Castro Boateng, this party
is your chance to experience the Castle the way it was intended: as
a lavish Victorian mansion designed for hosting elegant parties! In
fact, it may well be worth -
