Begins September 2012

 UBC Faculty of Education is pleased to announce a new one-year cohort program - The Master of Museum Education, at UBC Point Grey campus.  We are now accepting applications for September 2012.

 This is a unique graduate program focusing on teaching and learning outside of a classroom setting while bringing together museum educators, community-based educators and classroom teachers.

 As museums contemplate new roles within society it will be incumbent upon museum professionals, and particularly museum educators, to become catalysts for:

·         different ways of thinking about the educational roles and potentials of museums and other informal learning sites,

·         teaching and learning in museum settings, and

·         exploring new relationships between museums and the broader community.
