April Verch Delivers Pure Energy Infused Fiddlin' and Stepdancing at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts

BURNABY, BC -  Internationally renowned Canadian fiddler, singer, songwriter and stepdancer April Verch will perform at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts on November 5, 2011.    Known for her performance at the Opening Ceremonies of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, Verch and her band:  world-class musicians Clay Ross on guitar and Cody Walters on upright-electric bass and banjo will deliver a range of old-time and bluegrass songs with some original fiddle tunes and old-country tinged original vocals thrown in.  Confident, winsome singing, the finely detailed elegance of April Verch's fiddle phrasing and the depth of a repertoire that ranges from Bluegrass to Brazilian to Celtic, from a jaunty Canadian folksong to a poignant contemporary ballad radiates through pure energy that infuses her fiddle playing and stepdancing.
The April Verch Band performs November 5th at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts at 8pm. Tickets are $32 adults, $27, student & senior or $25 Lounge Series - a series that showcases outstanding musical performances in a cabaret setting.
