It's O-FISH-al and we're throwing a party to celebrate!

 

New Westminster, BC - Everyone at the Fraser River Discovery Centre is
excited that it is George's birthday.  To celebrate the Discovery Centre's
famous White Sturgeon's birthday we will be hosting an O-FISH-al party on
Saturday, November 5 at 1:00pm.

 

This 90 minute fished-themed party is sure to entertain and capture a
child's imagination. Accompanied by an adult, pre-school children ages 3 to
5 are invited to take part in the fun activities including a puppet show,
games and crafts as we celebrate this special day with George and his
friends at the Discovery Centre.  The party will wrap up at 2:30 with a
robust round of Happy Birthday followed by the all important party treats.

 

But how old is George?  No one knows for sure but with your help we may be
able to get it out of him!  Space is limited so pre-registration is
recommended.  Call the Discovery Centre at 604-521-8401 to book your child a
spot. Cost is $5.00 per child with adults by donation and is a wonderful
opportunity for families to explore the Fraser River while having fun
together.

 

Unable to visit the Discovery Centre November 5?  At 1:00pm on Saturday,
November 26, the Discovery Centre will be hosting O-FISH-al at the River
District Centre located at 8683 Kerr Street, in southeast Vancouver.  The
River District Centre is a dual purpose space that showcases plans for the
130 acre River District project and also focuses on building community
through special events and activities.  Built by and managed by developer
ParkLane Homes, it is open to the public daily from 11am to 6pm. 

  

Having a Birthday party?  The Discovery Centre's It's O-FISH-al program
makes a fabulous birthday party - you bring the cake and goodies and we do

The Fraser River Discovery Centre is an interpretive centre connecting
communities in discovery and celebration of the living, working Fraser
River. Located on the boardwalk at 788 Quayside Drive, New Westminster, the
Discovery Centre is open Wednesday to Saturday 10am to 4pm. Admission is by
donation for the exhibit galleries.
