Social Media Benchmarking Survey - 2011


CSAE is pleased to announce the launch of the Association Social Media 
Benchmarking Survey. This is a significant research initiative that will be of 
benefit to associations and not-for-profits across Canada.  





While it is undeniable that social media holds considerable promise as a tool 
for communication, engagement and collaboration, there are also risks. 
Social media can expose the organization to potential embarrassment, 
lowered productivity, legal liability on several fronts, undue costs, and 
challenges in governance.  





Given a growing interest and experience with these tools, we believe that 
the time is right to benchmark best practices in social media strategies and 
policies for member-based organizations.   





To this end, CSAE is collaborating with Bramm Research and Pinetree 
Advisors to undertake the 2011 Association Social Media Benchmarking 
Survey.  





Next Tuesday, September 27, I will be sending you an email containing a 
link to the online questionnaire.  The survey will take about 15 minutes to 
complete and should be completed by or coordinated by the Executive 
Director or CEO of your association.  





Research highlights will be available to all survey participants in early 
November, 2011. A full report will be available in January, 2012.
When the email arrives next week, please take the time needed to complete 
this important survey.
