More/LIRE PLUS

BRAVOS exhibit celebrates the art stars of Spain
National Post Share/Partager
The Spanish word 'bravo' has been universally co-opted to show appreciation. This is why the name
BRAVOS fits the Design Exchange's new exhibit so well - it celebrates and applauds the international
success achieved by Spain's brightest young designers. More/LIRE PLUS

Musqueam to protest at Marpole Midden to mark 100 days vigil at ancient site
Global News Share/Partager
Members of an urban Vancouver aboriginal band say they're stepping up their protest to protect a mound
of ancient refuse left behind from an aboriginal village nearly 3,000 years ago that, despite its designation
as a national heritage site, is at risk of being built over - again. Members of the Musqueam First Nation
say they will block traffic to protest against construction on the Marpole Midden, even though B.C.'s
aboriginal relations minister says a cash-for-land deal is close. More/LIRE PLUS

Artful awareness
Calgary Herald Share/Partager
Tucked away along the serene banks of Banff's Bow River is the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies.
This treasure trove of history and art is the legacy of Peter Whyte and Catharine Robb-Whyte, an avante
garde, philanthropic duo, whose love affair with each other, with the mountains and with art has inspired
movies and novels alike. More/LIRE PLUS

War, Civilization Museums travel across Canada
Ottawa West EMC Share/Partager
Nicolas Gauvin wants to make sure the collections at the Canadian War Museum and the Museum of

Pour amuser la Galerie: Diane Dufresne présente ses «monstres »
Huffington Post Share/Partager
Avec Pour amuser la Galerie, sa nouvelle exposition, Diane Dufresne nous transporte dans son univers

First Nations college calls for return of sacred meteorite from Alberta museum
The First Perspective Share/Partager
A fireball once streaked through the sky near the small town of Hardisty, AB, leaving a marvel of pitted iron
embedded in the earth. It was known by several names: Pahpamiyhaw asiniy, the Manitou Stone, the
Stone God. Scientists used its more sterile classification, the Iron Creek meteorite, a 320-pound rock
believed to hold great power by the indigenous tribes of northern Alberta. More/LIRE PLUS
