CEO has a big vision for Royal B.C
Times Colonist Share/Partager
It took a while to arrange my interview with Jack Lohman, who came to Victoria as the CEO of the Royal
British Columbia Museum last March. He is, of course, busy with this job, as well as a number of others. He
is professor of museum design and communications at the Bergen National Academy of the Arts in Norway,
chairman of the National Museum of Poland in Warsaw and an adviser to the Museum of Slavery in Dubai.

Northern Alberta dinosaur museum roars ahead
Regina Leader-Post Share/Partager
Northern Alberta's dinosaur museum is about to come to life. After 10 years of work and planning, Grande
Prairie's Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum has received the funding it needed to go tender in January, with
ground being broken at the site as early as April for an opening as early as 2014. More/LIRE PLUS

A peek behind the art of 'Oh, Canada' and its preparation
Digital Journal Share/Partager
Contemporary Canadian art is as unique as it is outstanding, with 'Oh, Canada' a prime example.
Designed by Denise Markonish, who had traveled for three years throughout Canada, she compiled some
400 studio visits for her art survey. More/LIRE PLUS

More/LIRE PLUS

Electrical Museum looks back at history of Christmas lighting
ChrisD.ca Share/Partager
The Manitoba Electrical Museum and Education Centre located is on 680 Harrow Street. I´ve often driven
past here on my way to Pembina Highway, wondering what it was all about. I read in the Uptown portion of
the Winnipeg Free Press that there is now an exhibition on display there titled, All That Glows: Then and
Now. This is an exhibition of Christmas lighting from the 1880s to today. It sounded interesting so I decided
to check it out. More/LIRE PLUS

Christian Louboutin Exhibit to kick up its heels at Toronto's Design Exchange
The Fashion Spot Share/Partager
While details have yet to finalized, this display of fabulous footwear drew more than 900 visitors per day
last spring when it was held at London's Design Museum in the United Kingdom. Curated by Donna
Loveday and exhibited to wide acclaim, this exhibit draws from Christian Louboutin's personal archive to
present the designer's celebrated shoe designs, referencing the origins of the iconic red sole through to the
latest Louboutin collections. More/LIRE PLUS
