[BCMA] Buranby Village Museum Sawmill Artifacats

Burnaby Village Museum has several large sawmill artifacts that we need to find a new home for. The equipment is listed below. There are digital images available if you would like more information about any of these artifacts.

Burnaby Village Museum sawmill equipment
HV978.50.27 planer.
Planer made by Berlin Machine Works. The planning sequence is a top planner head, a right and a left moulding head, and a bottom planner head. The feed table can be unbolted form the machine to reduce length by 44 inches.

Lth. 158 inches Wth. 65 inches Ht. 63 inches
HV978.50.28 band saw.
Large band resaw made by P. B. Yates Co Ltd. of Hamilton Ontario.
Overall Measurements
Lth. 67 inches Wth. 108 inches Ht. 165 inches
We also have the machine and stands that are used to sharpen the band saw blades.
HV978.50.29 edger saw.
This saw is used to trim the edges of boards to make them square. It has only one blade.
Made by the American Co. ?

HV978.50.30 edger saw.
Edger saw manufactured by Heaps Engineering Co Ltd of New Westminster. It has double saw blades to do both sides of a plank at the same time.
The saw stand shows the remains of a previous company name, Schaake Machine Works, that Heaps bought in 1912

Edger saw manufactured by Allis Chalmers Mfgr Co. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This saw does not have any blade mounted in it. Patented 1900
