"WHY THE YOUTH" PHILOSOPHERS' CAFÉ MODERATED BY YAEL COHEN, Founder of FCancer

Hosted by the Jewish Museum and Archives of British Columbia

Suggested donation of $5.00 at the door per person

 

 

On Wednesday, February 21, 2012 from 7:00pm - 9:00pm at 6184 Ash Street, philosophize about "Why the Youth: How Concentrating on Gen Y Benefits the Spread of Education," at a Philosophers' Café moderated by Yael Cohen, founder of FCancer. The Jewish Museum and Archives of BC's (JMABC) ongoing Philosophers' Café program, presented in collaboration with Simon Fraser University's Department of Continuing Studies, is a series of gatherings designed to sparks debate and insight dialogue on a broad range of subjects. Admission is by donation. Everyone is welcome. Light refreshments, coffee, and tea will be served.

 

 

WHY THE YOUTH: HOW CONCENTRATING ON GEN Y BENEFITS THE SPREAD OF EDUCATION

Over 90% of cancers are curable if caught in Stage One. Why don't more people know this?! Why is Gen Y so important? Let this Café open your mind to the F and C words, and why putting them together with humour and education is the smartest approach for combating cancer.

 

MODERATED BY YAEL COHEN , Founder of FCancer: Yael is a young woman on a mission to change the face of cancer, giving families and friends a new mantra: FCancer. Not even 30, Yael was a participant in the two Summit Series, Next Generation Leadership discussion at the White House, the Clinton Global Initiative, TED Women in 2010, and the UN Nexus conference.
