Bugs invade the Kelowna Museums!

The Bug Guys give presentation at the Okanagan Heritage Museum January 28th, 2012 at 12:00pm


The Okanagan Heritage Museum will be hosting a presentation of the creepy crawly variety as part of the Aliens Among US invasive species exhibit which is on now. On January 28th 2012, The Bug Guys will be in the Natural History Gallery to offer a family oriented presentation which will feature many different insect specimens (live and dead) from our own back yard and around the world. Kids will enjoy a fun presentation featuring a fascinating display of mounted insects as well as hands on learning, and it's sure to be a great learning experience for bug lovers of all ages! They can even hold some of the harmless specimens such as the Madagascar Hissing Cockroach!



Currently, the Okanagan Heritage Museum, in partnership with the Royal British Columbia Museum in Victoria, is bringing invasive species awareness to the Okanagan through the exhibit Aliens Among Us, which showcases the major species of plants, animals and insects which are drastically changing the ecology of British Columbia.



Be sure not to miss out on this great presentation and hurry in to see the Aliens Among Us exhibit before the aliens head back to the "mother ship" on February 4th.  Admission by donation.
