[BCMA] Job Posting - Fine Art Printmaking Technician

Fine Art Printmaking Technician - Full time

Specialty fine art printing firm, Fidelis Art Prints, has an immediate opening in their Vancouver production studio.
If you're a Photoshop wiz, crazy about details, but still like to get your hands dirty—we hope to hear from you!

REQUIREMENTS
• Advanced experience working in Adobe Photoshop
• Customer service experience
• Self-motivated and accustomed to tight deadlines
• Ability to prioritize 
• Be physically fit, capable of lifting 40lbs.
• Experience working with hand-tools, cutting knives and small power tools
• Comfortable handling original fine art 
• Be a non-smoker

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Answering phones, general office duties
• Estimating and working with new clients on projects
• Preparation of mounting substrates (manual labour, training provided)
• Canvas stretching and print-mounting (training provided)
• Digital retouching and colour calibration using Photoshop
• Managing digital printers, output of fine artworks (some training provided)
• Cutting, trimming and packaging of finished artworks

Previous experience in a commercial photo lab, large-format printshop or art framing studio a huge asset.
