Dear Friend of the Castle,

If you haven't seen it yet, now is your chance to see "Victoria's
Castle" in the comfort of your own home!  Tune into CHEK TV on
Thursday, July 19th at 9PM for the Television Premiere of "Victoria's
Castle."

The documentary chronicles the Dunsmuir's immigration to Canada and
subsequent success that led to the construction of Craigdarroch. 
Following the story of how the Castle was built through its many uses
as a military hospital, former home of Victoria College (now the
University of Victoria) all the way through its current use as a
museum, "Victoria's Castle" is an entertaining and informative film
that tells the history not just of Craigdarroch, but much of the

Victorian Garden Party

As part of the city's 150th anniversary celebrations, Craigdarroch
Castle will host its second annual Victorian Garden Party on
Saturday, August 4th.

This year's party will be from 1- 4pm and will feature a performance
by Raven Baroque of Elinor Dunsmuir's music.  Come watch history come
to life!

Kids games and entertainment will be provided, costumes are
encouraged, and picnic blankets most welcome.
