"Victoria's Castle" documentary will air on CHEK TV this Thursday at 9 pm.
Victoria, BC, Canada - Craigdarroch Castle Historical Museum Society is pleased to announce the Television Premiere of "Victoria's Castle" on CHEK TV this Thursday, July 19th at 9pm. Directed and produced by Castle Society Board Member Robin Adair, "Victoria's Castle" premiered at The Vic Theatre to an invitation-only audience on Friday May 4th and has been shown at 7pm on Friday evenings at the Castle. This 52 minute educational video tells some of the stories of the Dunsmuir family and subsequent institutions who occupied Victoria's Castle and highlights Craigdarroch's relationship with the city of Victoria's development.  Framing the immigration of the Dunsmuirs to Vancouver Island from Scotland, the developments that led up to the Castle's construction and the subsequent events that shaped its many uses, the documentary tells a more complete story about not only Craigdarroch, but the city of Victoria itself.

DVDs of "Victoria's Castle" are now for sale online at www.thecastle.ca<http://www.thecastle.ca> as well as in the Castle's gift shop, which is open 7 days a week.

About Craigdarroch Castle:

Founded in 1959, the Craigdarroch Castle Historical Museum Society is now a registered charity in Canada.  The Castle Society is dedicated to the protection, preservation and conservation of Craigdarroch Castle and to bring its stories to life.  The Castle was recognized as a National Historic Site in 1992 and is run as a museum open to the public by admission.
