[BCMA] Expressions of Interest to join BCMA Board

[Moderated BCMA subscriber listserv.]

An opportunity exists to join the Board of the BC Museums Association to
help shape the future of the Association.  You will work with a team of
dedicated member volunteers on the board to help with  the planning and
preparation of the 2012 BCMA Conference in Kamloops, ongoing member
services, among other projects.  To express your interest (include relevant

Vacancies exist in the following portfolios:
. Treasurer  who would lead the Finance and Development Committee
. Recording Secretary who would lead the Programs and Member Services 

Appointment Process

The Past President will review Expressions of Interest against the portfolio
roles and responsibilities and determine a balance of skill sets, geographic
and institutional diversity with the current board members.  The Past
President will recommend appointments to the Board for consideration at
their next meeting.  The Board will review and appoint individuals on an
interim basis until a formal election can be held at the next Special
General Meeting of the Membership planned for October 2012.
