Mission, BC- The Mission Museum is pleased to announce its new extended
hours for the 2012 summer season.

 

June: Wednesday-Saturday 10am-4pm

July-August: Tuesday-Saturday 10am-4pm

 

 

The Museum building is Mission's largest artifact.  A B.C. Mills
pre-fabricated building, it was built in 1907 in New Westminster, and
shipped by train to Mission to become the local Bank of Commerce.  In 1947,
it was moved to its present site, where it served as Mission's Community
Library until 1972, when it was designated to be the Mission Museum.
Restored to its original appearance in 1992, it now stands as a beautiful
example of early pre-fabricated buildings.  

 

Citizens are encouraged to explore Mission's history through our 15 exhibit
spaces.  We are a wheelchair accessible facility and admission is by
donation.

Historical Society, volunteering or booking a special tour, please visit our

The Mission District Historical Society operates three branches: the Mission
Museum, the Mission Community Archives, and the Heritage Places branch,
which are all dedicated to "recording our 

history, educating the community, and preserving our heritage."
