Title: Supervisor, customer service representatives (Senior Historic House Museum Worker) (NOC: 1212)

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Part Time, Maternity Leave

This job is Shift-based and requires weekends, evenings and flexible availability.

Salary: $13.22 Hourly for 30 hours per week, As per collective agreement, Group Insurance Benefits

Anticipated Start Date: 2012/07/14

Location: Victoria, British Columbia (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Specific Skills: Co-ordinate, assign and review work, Train workers in duties and policies, Requisition supplies and materials, Ensure accuracy of financial transactions, Set up and take-down for special events.

Additional Skills: Know and use computer hardware and software

Security and Safety: Criminal record check

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Attention to detail, Able to lift tables, chairs and carry them up and down several flights of stairs.

Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available

Ability to Supervise: 10 people or less

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Computer use, Ability to carry heavy items up and down stairs.

Other Information: 12 month Maternity leave position. Duties involve, but not limited to: Opening/closing the Castle, balancing tills, updating volunteer rosters, provide assistance to staff for special projects.
