Hi,
Although I have never tried this myself, I understand that freeze drying has
excellent results. It may depend on the type of plant. They do this for
wedding bouquets and they last for years. The bouquet is taken apart and
each piece treated individually and then the bouquet is reassembled. Laid
out flat and burying in silica sand, or borax removes the moisture slowly.
This process can take several weeks. I am not sure if colour will be
maintained as well as the freeze dried method, however. A florist in your
area may be the best person to direct you to a professional in the field.

Subject: [BCMA] Preserving Cedar Boughs?
Hello,
I am wondering if anyone out there has had any success preserving cedar
boughs for long term use in exhibits. If so, any instruction would be kindly
appreciated.
Thank you,
