Fossilized horn leads to new dinosaur discovery
Maclean's Share/Partager
A piece of a fossilized reptilian horn that sat in an Ottawa museum for decades has led to the discovery of
a new dinosaur species the size of a rhinoceros that roamed Alberta 80 million years ago. Pieces of skulls
from the recently named Xenoceratops were originally dug up from rocky sediments in southern Alberta
sediments in 1958. More/LIRE PLUS
More/LIRE PLUS
HMCS Ojibwa: A cold War Veteran's last voyage
Hamilton Spectator Share/Partager
Plans to move a retired Cold War submarine from Hamilton to a new berth as a museum have been
delayed because of Lake Erie's unpredictable November weather. HMCS Ojibwa, the last of Canada's Cold
War-era Oberon class submarines, has been resting in Hamilton Harbour since May, being prepared for a
tricky final voyage to the Lake Erie town of Port Burwell. More/LIRE PLUS
More/LIRE PLUS

Has the War of 1812 been over-hyped?
Ottawa Citizen Share/Partager
History, to be properly understood, should be studied in the round. Historical narratives are seldom a
straight line between two points. Lessons are often complicated, even contradictory. Unintended
consequences can abound. Governments, however, have a straightforward agenda: to be re-elected by
appealing to particular segments of the electorate. More/LIRE PLUS
Musée throws caution to wind
St. Albert Leader Share/Partager
If the question is, 'What's happening at the Musée Heritage Museum this winter?' then the answer, my
friends, is blowing in the wind. The museum, located in St. Albert Place, is playing host to an exhibit on loan
from the Canadian Museum of Civilization titled Wind Work, Wind Play, which displays weathervanes and
whirlygigs from across Canada dating from the 1870s to the 1970s. More/LIRE PLUS
Canadian dinosaur hunter honoured for years of achievement
CTV News Share/Partager
They roamed the earth millions of years ago, but Canada's most-famed dinosaur hunter says now is the
time to be studying the fascinating creatures. Palaeontologist Philip Currie says it's the golden age of
dinosaur research with more scientists, more funding and more interest than ever before. More/LIRE PLUS
Michael Snow plays his Trump card
Maclean's Share/Partager
Michael Snow is standing on the edge of In the Way, his new video installation at the National Gallery of
Canada, looking down at it and chuckling with pleasure. A projector on the ceiling beams a 23-minute video
onto the floor. The ground rushes by at close range-mud and puddles for a while, then grass studded with
flowers, then pebbles. More/LIRE PLUS
