[BCMA] Nanaimo Museum Community Announcement - Old Fashioned Christmas

Hello everyone,

 

The Nanaimo Museum would like to invite you to a special Christmas event
& remind you that admission to the museum is by cash donation to the
food bank every day in December!

 

Old Fashioned Family Christmas


Saturday, December 15, 2012 - 12pm - 4pm

Storytelling - 1:00pm - 1:40pm

 

Experience an old fashioned family Christmas at the Nanaimo Museum
featuring historical toys, crafts, and treats.  Children (and the young
at heart) will enjoy playing with toys that were popular 100 years ago.
Decorate traditional Christmas sugar cookies with icing and sprinkles
for your own holiday treat, or make your own Christmas craft.
Professional storyteller, Margaret Murphy, will be sharing the classic
fairy tale The Elves and the Shoemaker about magic and bringing joy to 

others.  She will also be telling the Canadian tale, The Christmas Wish
by Lynn Fels about a young girl's very special gift from Santa.
Storytelling will take place from 1:00pm-1:40pm.
