Rights museum aims for $3 million per year from visitors

 The Canadian Museum for Human Rights believes it can raise nearly $3 million a year from visitors once it 
opens its doors in 2014. The CMHR's five-year corporate plan for the years 2012 through 2017 was tabled 
in the House of Commons recently. In the report, the museum estimates how much revenue it expects to

Postal museum closed, collection broken up to make way for new history museum

 The Canadian Museum of Civilization is wasting no time in moving ahead with plans for its rebirth as the 
new Canadian Museum of History. Even before the government's introduction of a bill that will give the 
transition legal force, officials closed the Canadian Postal Museum, which had been housed on the second 
floor of the popular Gatineau museum since 1997. The postal museum's space will be used to display 
exhibitions on local or provincial history from museums across Canada, said Chantal Schryer, the

the mania for Jim Morrison 10 years after the Doors' lead singer expired from a drug overdose in a Paris 
apartment. The cover line also has a certain application to William Kurelek - although as a devout, dour

Éric Hugues nommé au Musée canadien pour les droits de la personne

 Le ministre du Patrimoine canadien James Moore a nommé Éric Hugues à la présidence du conseil 
d'administration du Musée canadien pour les droits de la personne. M. Hugues était déjà président par
