Hello from the Road on the Way to Conference 2012!

 

REMINDER:  As you pack-up for Kamloops, take a look around for an item your
museum or gallery gift shop or recent exhibit or special event you would
like to donate to Conference 2012's Silent Auction & bring it with you!
We'll add them to our Host Committee's great beginnings to create a "living"
silent auction that will add items every day of Conference 2012, culminating
in the final bid-off at the 2012 Museums in Motion Awards Banquet on Friday
night, October 19th.

 

If you can't get to Kamloops yourself, but still want your institution
represented, you can express post or courier your donation to Kamloops
Museum & Archives by 5:00pm Thursday, October 18th & we'll be sure to add it
to the display.

 

Please use the attached Silent Auction Donation Form to provide a brief
description with the fair market value of your donation.

Please be advised that TODAY we were notified of further travel restrictions
for government personnel which has forced the withdrawal of 1 Pre-Conference
Workshop (Online Reputation Management) & 1 concurrent session (WorldHost).
If either of these were your choices, please contact the BCMA Office
(Shelley at: Members at museumsassn.bc.ca) with your 2nd choice so that we may
add you, ensure there is room & to notify the presenter(s).

 

IF you haven't registered yet for Conference 2012, we will be accepting a
limited number of walk-up delegates & of course members & stakeholders are
more than welcome to join us for the several networking special events, from
the Welcome Reception, to Minister's Luncheon, to BC Reports Reception at
Kamloops Art Gallery, to the 2012 Museums in Motion Awards Banquet & windup
salmon feast at Secwepemc Museum & Heritage Park.
