Subject: Invitation to Don Holzworth Dedication at the Railway and Forestry
Museum

Please join us at the Railway and Forestry Museum on Saturday, September
29th, 2012 at 1:00 pm for the dedication of our newest addition: the Don
Holzworth Terrace.

Don Holzworth was a part of the Railway and Forestry Museum from 1986 until
his sudden passing on February 27th 2008. "He was part of everything that
went on at the museum. He was the nuts and bolts; the idea man, the creative
problem solver, the fire and passion that stoked the museum. When you open
the museum's back door you see Don's accomplishments," and in our opinion,
his legacy.

During an interview Don was asked "You have been an active member since
1986. What keeps you involved?" His response embodies the scope of the
Railway and Forestry Museum:

I enjoy seeing children learning about trains in a safe environment. Seeing
them having fun while being educated is meaningful. I find rail stories
nostalgic and romantic. Through contributing to the preservation of rail I
get satisfaction knowing I am also part of the protection of our local
history. I enjoy the friendships and acquaintances I have made and feel I
benefit from learning from others. .I am proud to be part of a dedicated
group that is evolving our site into a first class attraction.

The Don Holzworth Terrace will act as a hub, where guests meet and view the
facility, take in the many different aspects of the museum site, its
gardens, activity, and of course view the train cars and coaches. We look
forward to hearing the many rail stories yet to be shared, and friendships
yet to be made.

The Railway and Forestry Museum graciously thanks the Prince George
Community Foundation, Carrier Lumber, The Northern, the Prince George
community, and the friends and family of Don Holzworth for their support in
seeing this important project to fruition.

what lies within us.

Please rsvp to let us know you will be attending. Thank you.
