Local Museum Named in TOP 10 BEST MARITIME MUSEUMS IN THE WORLD

VANCOUVER, BC (September 7, 2012)



The Vancouver Maritime Museum has been named one of the TOP 10 BEST MARTIME
MUSEUMS IN THE WORLD by Marine Insight (www.marineinsight.com
<http://www.marineinsight.com> <http://www.marineinsight.com%3E/> ).

Among the top ten are the San Diego Maritime Museum, Sydney Maritime Museum,
and Netherlands National Maritime Museum.

³This is a wonderful acknowledgement of the quality of our Vancouver
Maritime Museum, its collection and of the depth of our maritime heritage in
the North West. What seems like a small building on the outside is actually
a treasure chest full of amazing surprises right here in our own back yard.

The Vancouver Maritime Museum, located in Vanier Park at 1905 Ogden Avenue,
is Canada¹s principal maritime museum on the pacific. For over 50 years, the
Museum has been Pacific Canada¹s premier link to maritime history, art,
culture, industry and technology. The Museum inspires all visitors to be
life-long learners, and to gain a deeper understanding of how people respond
to and interact with the sea.
