Turning Towards the Sun:
An Adventure on Foot
Saturday May 4, 1:00 to 3:00pm

Spring is an eventful time of biological, meteorological and hydrological transformation. We are made aware of seasons through subtle environmental cues. These include shifts in light levels, plant growth, and other characteristic indicators of change. Modern industrial processes that influence how we relate to our surroundings can interrupt our awareness of natural cycles.

This walking tour will offer four diverse perspectives on seasonality and place from Thompson Rivers University Place Group faculty Ila Crawford (Visual Arts), Robin Reid (Tourism), Nancy Flood (Biological Sciences) and Lyn Baldwin (Biological Sciences) through an interactive afternoon stroll along the Thompson Rivers, concluding at the KAG, where concepts discussed will be related to specific works in our current exhibition, Germaine Koh: Weather Systems.

Please dress for the weather and meet at the Riverside Park Rose Garden. We will set off rain or shine.
