Hi Sandra,

Our best guess is that it would be a hook pick or knife for cleaning out
horses’ hooves when out riding. It has the right shape and long handles so
it can be fastened to a saddle.

Have a great day,

Subject: [BCMA] mystery object

Hello Everyone,

We were wondering if someone would be able to identify the attached object.
Our best guess is that it’s a pickaroon/hookaroon tool of some kind. Would
anyone know more specifics?

It’s 15 inches in length, with a wood handle and a metal hook end.

Thank-you for the help.

Best,

Sandra
