[BCMA] 2013 BCMA Awards - Call for Nominations

Please find attached the Call for Nominations for the BCMA Awards.  
 
BC's museum & gallery community offers diverse services & visitor
experiences that are relevant & meaningful to multiple audiences. We all
know of colleagues & partners who are deserving of recognition for their
excellence in management, special projects, programs, exhibits, philanthropy
& volunteerism.  I invite you to take a look at your circle of friends &
co-workers to identify those you feel should be recognized by their peers.
The BCMA provides the means with the unique & prestigious Museums in Motion
Awards. Divided into three categories. 
 
Nominating someone who has unique & longstanding achievements for a BCMA
award has been made as simple as possible: identify colleagues, sponsors,
volunteers & organizations who have distinguished themselves; submit a
nomination with three current references willing to be interviewed by BCMA's
Awards Committee; we will contact them directl, there is no need for them to
write a letter or for you, as the nominator, to have to coordinate this
process. 
 
Museums in Motion Awards Banquet is a big part of the BCMA Conference.
Recipients are recognized by their peers on the provincial stage!  Let us
all continue to build on arts and culture success in BC by awarding
deserving colleagues & supporters with recognition they richly deserve.  It
starts with you, shining a light on dedicated people who give us something
to be proud of in our chosen profession.

The Awards Committee is independent and comprised of five individuals
appointed by Council to evaluate nominations for BCMA's Awards & Bursaries
Program.  This year the members are:  Jill Baird, Robert Campbell, David
Jensen plus two others
