The Vancouver Women’s University Club invites you to attend an evening of holiday cheer and swinging jazz featuring the Three Wise Men. Award-winning clarinetist/saxophonist/vocalist Evan Arntzen will be joined by bassist Wynston Minkler and drummer Andrew Millar to perform jazz renditions of holiday favourites. Held in the elegant drawing room of the Hycroft mansion, decorated in its Christmas finest, this concert promises to inspire images of swingin’ sugarplum fairies.

 

In the spirit of the great 1960s talk show television programme Jazz Casual, the concert will also include a discussion with the musicians about the stories and people behind the music, hosted by journalist and jazz saxophonist Erin Millar.

 

Future concerts this season include gospel Sunday hosted by vocalist Dawn Pemberton and award-winning special guests from Toronto including vocalist Maureen Kennedy and drummer Morgan Childs. Visit www.uwcvancouver.ca  for the full series lineup.
