The Vancouver Women’s University Club invites you to journey back to a time of Renaissance and Baroque songs of love, longing, fulfillment and regret. Come and hear this delightful recital of seventeenth and early eighteenth century music – English, Italian, French and Scottish – held in the elegant drawing room at the beautiful Hycroft mansion. Featuring soprano singer, Elspeth Mcveigh, tenor voice and cellist, Byron Hanson and classical guitarist, Galina Jitlina. The program includes sweet and tender, melodic love songs by composers John Dowland, Thomas Campion, Alessandro Grandi, Etienne Mouliné and Robert Burns.
What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than by listening to such exquisite music in one of Vancouver’s most beautiful heritage houses! All mended and broken hearts rejoice!
Tickets are $20 for the public and $15 for UWCV members. Price includes concert, tea, coffee, sweet nibbles and a tour of the Hycroft mansion. Seating is limited.
