[BCMA] 100th Anniversary Displays

Hi there,

 

The S.S. Sicamous Inland Marine Museum is getting ready for the 100th
anniversary celebrations next year. We are working hard to get the ship
looking her best, and are looking for objects to put in the rooms and
displays. I was wondering if there might be any artifacts in your
collections which could have come from the ship?

 

The ship was launched in May 1914, and ran until 1936. We are looking for
items that relate to Steam Ship Sicamous, particularly from the rooms of the
ship, or from Canadian Pacific Rail. As the S.S. Sicamous travelled up and
down the valley, it is likely that objects are scattered in homes and
museums across the Okanagan, and even further afield (.In the summer we had
some tools donated which had made it all the way to Toronto and back.)

 

If you have any ideas where objects could be found, or might be willing to
loan some objects, we would love to hear from you!
